COURSE OVERVIEW:
PR Training Ltd offer instruction and training for both Mental Health Awareness (0.5 Days) and Mental Health First Aider (2 Days) courses from our premises or from customer premises.
We all have Mental Health, just as we all have physical health. Mental ill health can strike at any time in life and can affect people from all backgrounds and it is imperative that Employers are aware of how to tackle, identify and support any employees who may fall upon Mental Health issues.
Although, people are becoming more aware, stigma still exists around the world about mental health. As a society, we do not tend to know how to take care of our ow mental health like we do our physical health. This means that many people do not know how to support a friend, colleague or employee, or even where to correctly signpost people to help support their mental health.
PR Training Ltd offer the following mental health training programmes which help support employers to help provide further advice, guidance and support to any individuals who need this support.
Mental Health Awareness (0.5 Days): An introduction to raise awareness of mental health.
- What is mental health and how to challenge the stigma.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of common mental health issues.
- An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining well-being.
- Confidence to be able to support someone in distress or experiencing mental health issues.
Mental Health First Aider (2 Days): Become a fully qualified Mental Health First Aider.
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and factors that can affect wellbeing.
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues.
- Confidence to be able to support someone in distress or experiencing mental health issues.
- Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
- Knowledge to help someone recover by guiding them to further support.
COURSE DURATION:
0.5 Days- Mental Health Awareness
2 Days- Mental Health First Aider
CERTIFICATION:
On completion of the course, successful candidates will receive certification stating that they have attended and completed the Mental Health First Aider course and will also receive further course resources.
